Peter Navarro, adviser to US President Donald Trump, criticized Tim Cook, CEO of the American Apple Corporation, for his slowness in moving gadget production from China. This was reported on July 7 by CNBC.

"Going back to Trump's first term, Tim Cook constantly asked for more time to move his factories out of China," Navarro said in an interview with CNBC.

According to the TV channel, the Trump administration is interested in manufacturing Apple products outside of China. Navarro called the corporation's actions "the longest-running soap opera in Silicon Valley."

Earlier, on May 23, Trump threatened Apple to impose 25 percent duties on any iPhones sold but not manufactured in the country. Against this background, Apple shares fell by 4%.
