A deputy from Gagauzia was detained at the Chisinau airport after a trip to Moscow.
On July 7, Ivan Panya, a deputy of the city council of Comrat, the capital of Gagauzia, was detained at the Chisinau airport after returning from Moscow, where he took part in the congress of the bloc of opposition parties "Victory".
Panya said that he and his colleagues returned from Moscow and immediately after their arrival they were all detained at the airport.
"We're sitting here, waiting for something. But for Moldovan "democracy" this is already the standard. This is how we, the representatives of the opposition, are always treated," Panya wrote on his Telegram channel.
On June 21, it was reported that Vasily Bolyukov, a representative of the Moldovan opposition political bloc Pobeda, was detained at Chisinau airport for "additional control." Moldovan MP Pavel Lungu, in a conversation with Izvestia, said that this detention could be called "state terrorism."
