Analysts named the criteria for Russians' choice of vacation hotels
More than a third of Russians (38%) rely on a private beach with a lounge area when choosing a hotel, 23% choose outdoor pools, 13% choose a wellness center and 10% choose a children's infrastructure. Such data was provided by the developer Veren Group, which was reviewed by Izvestia on July 7.
The restaurant in the hotel was a priority for only 8% of respondents, while a minority (4% each) voted for the SPA and fitness center.
As for the service, the opinions of Russians are also divided. More than a third (34%) believe that the most important thing is impeccable room service. Slightly fewer respondents (27%) vote for the gastronomic diversity on site. 22% would like to have access to a transfer. And for 13% of the respondents, the decisive factor in choosing a vacation destination was the availability of animation and child care services. At the same time, only 4% of the respondents chose individual support as a priority service at the resort.
When asked about the desired children's infrastructure in the hotel, one fifth of the respondents named playgrounds as its most important element. They are followed by a pool with slides (17%) and a children's center (15%). Child care was in demand among 14% of the respondents, while 4% chose to rent strollers, bicycles and scooters. And 28% of the respondents were not ready to compromise and answered that they needed all the listed elements of children's infrastructure.
In terms of room amenities, modern renovation and new equipment were in the first place — 27% of respondents chose them. The scenic view from the window is important for 23% of travelers, and for 19% the priority is the availability of family rooms. 16% of respondents noted sound insulation among the most important room parameters. A tenth of the respondents were in favor of a full-fledged bathroom, and 5% considered the main convenience of the room to be a spacious layout.
It is noteworthy that when choosing a hotel, the visual component plays an important role. Thus, the survey showed that for 17% of respondents, the architecture of the building and aesthetics will be additional advantages. Panoramic views from anywhere in the hotel turned out to be even more important — they were noted by 18% of respondents. In addition, 14% of travelers will prefer a hotel with a garden and thoughtful landscaping. And for 7%, an important factor is the availability of an open-air cinema. The rating and reviews won the leadership in the parameter "Additional advantages of the resort hotel" — 41% of respondents chose this answer option. Well, the star rating of the hotel was at the end of the list: only 3% of respondents noted its importance.
"It is important for developers and hoteliers to focus not so much on trends and professional intuition as on the actual needs of their target audience. This will allow us to create modern projects that will include the most important options and will be in maximum demand," the company said.
