The Moscow Drama Theater named after A.S. Pushkin has completed its 75th anniversary season

On June 29, the Pushkin Moscow Drama Theater concluded its 75th anniversary season with the play "The Servant of Two Masters." This season, the theater presented 4 premieres on the Main Stage.:

· the play "The Mousetrap" with an updated cast directed by Nadezhda Arakcheeva.

  • The play "Bad Good" directed by the artistic director of the theater, Evgeny Pisarev, premiered on December 25, the day of the creation of the Chamber Theater, the predecessor of the Pushkin Theater.;
  • the play "The Deal" directed by Igor Teplov with Vera Voronkova and Andrey Zavodyuk in the main roles.
  • "It so happened, the men left" is a concert performance directed by Evgeny Pisarev, staged to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Victory.

The Branch also hosted a special project dedicated to the anniversary of the theater, "Five Evenings at the Pushkin Theater," which reflected the entire history of the theater since 1950.

Evgeny Pisarev (Artistic Director of the Pushkin Moscow Drama Theatre): "We really revived and brought these people back! Just as Alisa Koonen and Alexander Tairov became our guiding stars and dear people ten years ago, so all the names of Pushkin's people over the 75 years of the theater's existence are no longer strangers to us. This is the task of the project, the task of the anniversary season!".

The theater toured the country a lot, this season we visited Tobolsk with the play "Tartuffe", St. Petersburg and Syktyvkar with the play "Tomorrow was the War", "False Confessions" was presented in Voronezh, but Zoya's Apartment toured more often than others: it was shown in Astrakhan, Rostov-on-DonDon and Perm.

On December 25, the day of the creation of the Chamber Theater, the ceremony of awarding Commemorative Plaques of the Chamber Theater was traditionally held. This season, they were awarded to director and set designer Nikolai Roshchin, costume designer Maria Danilova and actress Vera Voronkova. In season 75, the theater said goodbye to the performances of "O. Henry's Christmas", "A MAN AND A GENTLEMAN", "Guardians of the Taj Mahal" and "Promise at Dawn".

The Star of the Theater-Goer award was awarded to Vera Alentova in the "Legend of the Stage" nomination and Victoria Isakova in the "Best Role of a Theatrical Actress in a Movie" nomination. The highlight of the season highlighted the production "Tomorrow was the War" in the nomination "Best Performance. Big Uniform", and the "Crystal Turandot" received the play "Bad Good" in the special nomination "Transmission of Fire".

On September 9, the opening of the 76th theater season and the traditional gathering of the troupe will take place. On October 21, 2025, the day of the 75th anniversary of the Pushkin Theater, the play "And there will be a Theater", dedicated to the history of the theater, will be shown on the Main Stage.

After the New Year, Sergei Tonyshev will begin work on the novel "The Idiot" by F.M. Dostoevsky, Murat Abulkatinov will direct I.A. Goncharov's "Oblomov", and Denis Paramonov will direct A. Volodina's novel "The Protagonist".

And in 2026, Evgeny Pisarev will present the musical play "The Threepenny Opera" by B. Brecht.
