For the third year now, the Bratsk Cup pre-season exhibition tournament has become one of the main events of the first half of summer in Russian football. Dynamo Moscow and CSKA Moscow, as well as Serbian Partizan and OFC are taking part in it again. This year, Russian trampolinists are already actively competing in international competitions in a neutral status. The upcoming World Cup in Portugal, which will take place over the weekend, will be no exception. 11 of our athletes are allowed to participate in it: Maxim Didenko, Danila Kasimov, Kirill Kozlov, Sofia Alyaeva, Angela Bladtseva (all trampoline), Sergey Finichenko, Arina Kalyandra, Alexandra Lyamina (all acrobatic track), Mikhail Yuryev, Mikhail Zalomin and Galina Begim (all double mini-trump). All of them have already received visas and arrived in Coimbra.

Women. The World Cup

One of the main events of this year's chess will be the Women's World Cup, which will be held in July in Batumi. It starts on the weekend and will last three weeks. This is one of the most prestigious competitions. In addition, it is considered a qualifier for the tournament of candidates for the chess crown. This year, Alexandra Goryachkina, who won the World Cup two years ago, as well as Ekaterina Lagno, Daria Charochkina, Polina Shuvalova, Anna Shukhman and Valentina Gunina will take part in the World Cup from Russia.

The Cup of the strongest athletes

In 2025, Russia will host joint Russian-Belarusian competitions in several sports called the Cup of the Strongest Athletes. A similar gymnastics tournament began in Moscow this week. In addition to Russians and Belarusians, representatives of nine other countries are taking part: Kyrgyzstan, Thailand, Azerbaijan, Armenia, South Ossetia, Syria, Tunisia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The audience will be able to see a number of stars of our gymnastics, including the bronze medalist of the World Cup Ivan Kulyak and one of the most talented young Russian athletes Ilya Zaika.
