In Transbaikalia, a bridge collapsed due to flooding

In the village of Darasun in Transbaikalia, a bridge collapsed due to flooding. This was announced on July 2 by the press service of the regional government in the Telegram channel.

"Currently, the movement of cargo vehicles on this bridge is limited," the press service of the Government of Transbaikalia quotes Sergey Krivoshchekov, Deputy Minister of Construction and Road Management and Transport of the Trans—Baikal Territory.

At the moment, specialists are filling the bridge supports with rock in order to avoid further destruction. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Transbaikalia clarified that due to heavy precipitation, the pillars of the bridge between the villages of Darasun and Duldurga were washed away, as a result of which 17 household plots were damaged.

In addition, the press service of the regional administration reported that flooding occurred in the village of Makkaveevo due to a sharp rise in the water level. According to local residents, for the first time in 50 years, the flood of the stream threatens the population.

"It was decided to cut off this water with a temporary construction device. An excavator was working, and two more tractors are on the way in order to strengthen this structure and prevent flooding of the population," said Artem Chernobuk, deputy head of the Chita district, whose words are quoted in the Telegram channel of the regional government.

In addition, a temporary accommodation facility was opened in the village.

Long flood: the active flood phase began in 11 regions

So far, some rivers are flooded, while others have critically low water levels.

On June 23, a state of emergency (emergency) was introduced in the Verkhnebureinsky district of the Khabarovsk Territory due to flooding. It was clarified that 36 residential buildings were damaged during the water spill, in which 87 people live, including 14 children. A temporary accommodation facility was deployed in the area of flooding.
