Wage growth in Russia is possible, but it is uneven across industries and regions. The largest increase in income is observed in the segment of working professions and logistics. Igor Rastorguev, a leading analyst at AMarkets, told Izvestia about this on June 27.

According to the research of the service "Work.<url>", Russians expect an increase in the average salary to 154 thousand rubles. However, experts note that further income growth in real terms may slow down, as enterprises are not planning large-scale wage increases.

According to Rastorguev, wage growth is possible, but not in all industries. He noted that, for example, the demand for couriers, drivers, assemblers, builders and manufacturing specialists remains high, which forces employers to raise salaries, especially in large cities.

The expert also noted the impact of government programs on the labor market. Digitalization, modernization of industries and the implementation of national projects contribute to wage growth in certain sectors, including state-owned enterprises and state corporations.

"The government continues its policy of supporting the real incomes of the population. In 2025, the indexation of social benefits remains in effect, as well as measures to stimulate employment. The unemployment rate remains at historically low levels — about 3%," the expert said.

At the same time, Rastorguev stressed that the current situation reflects structural changes — the transition to an economy where the value of skilled labor is increasing. Government measures, including tax incentives and retraining programs, are helping to mitigate the personnel shortage, but further wage growth will depend on economic dynamics and business opportunities.

He explained that despite the optimistic expectations of citizens, real income growth may be more moderate than predicted.

Meanwhile, Alexey Karpunin, an IT expert, said that the expectation of higher salaries is now felt in almost all areas.

"People feel they have to earn more, and they are increasingly raising this issue. At the same time, the forecasts from the companies are different. Someone is planning indexing because they consider it a necessary step. And someone, on the contrary, postpones any increases due to the unstable market situation and high uncertainty," he stressed.

Karpunin recommended not waiting for indexations, but focusing on growing your value in the market. Additional courses, a change of specialization to a more in—demand one, studying the use of artificial intelligence - all this really affects the cost of a specialist, the expert noted. According to him, the salary increase in this case can be much more noticeable than with standard indexing.

On June 18, the press service of the recruitment agency hh.ru It was reported that the average salary offered to Russians in June is 86.8 thousand rubles, but employers are willing to pay two or three times more to specialists in 25 areas.
