The doctor told about the condition of the injured child in Sheremetyevo
The child, whom the man threw on the floor at Sheremetyevo airport, is currently in a serious condition of the most acute period of traumatic brain injury. Tatiana Shapovalenko, the chief physician of the Roshal Children's Clinical Center, told Izvestia about this on June 25.
"The child is receiving decongestant therapy. We did not find any gross damage to the brain structures," the doctor explained.
She noted that the child is connected to artificial lung ventilation (ventilator) in a state of drug-induced sleep. Thanks to the Roshal Center, the victim received timely medical care.
At the moment, the prognosis of the child's recovery can be assessed as "calm".
On June 23, a man, being in the arrival area of the airport in a state of drug intoxication, grabbed a child and violently threw him to the floor. The boy was hospitalized, he is in serious condition. A criminal case has been opened into the attempted murder of a minor.
On June 24, Shapovalenko's chief physician stated that the two-year-old boy's health was assessed as serious, and the child had a severe traumatic brain injury. On the same day, the Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Moscow region, Ksenia Mishonova, reported that doctors had not detected any brain damage.
