Turkey is a peaceful country and has no intentions of entering into a military conflict with Israel, however, if necessary, it will fight "against evil," especially in the Gaza Strip. This was announced on June 25 by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan following the outcome of the NATO summit in The Hague.

The politician pointed out that Turkey will remain committed to peace in the region and will continue to make efforts to ensure that it prevails until it itself is attacked.

"In addition to all this, we will continue to speak out against oppression, against the evil, the unbearable behavior of Israel," the Turkish leader said at a press conference. The broadcast was hosted by TRT Haber TV channel.

He added: the people of Gaza have not received any help for several months and their future fate is unclear. No "powerful states" can make humanitarian supplies enter the region.

"We say to powerful countries, 'Stand up against Israel and ensure that the gates are opened for humanitarian aid.' Even the Red Cross is not allowed. If the Red Cross could work, it would be possible to provide assistance," the politician said.

On June 24, Erdogan's office reported that the Turkish president and US leader Donald Trump discussed the conflict in Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East during a meeting at the NATO summit in The Hague. During the conversation, the topics of addressing the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, as well as resolving the conflict in Ukraine, were raised. The Turkish leader pointed out the importance of dialogue in resolving these situations.
