Gasoline and diesel fuel stocks in Russia are at levels close to historical highs, which eliminates the risks of supply disruptions and sharp price increases. This was announced on June 25 by the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation.

According to the agency, the demand for fuel from the agricultural sector traditionally increases in the summer, as well as the activity of motorists, including tourist trips.

"The current situation on the fuel market is stable. Gasoline and diesel fuel stocks are close to historical highs, which guarantees uninterrupted supply to the domestic market," Interfax cites the text of the message.

It is clarified that the Ministry of Energy continues to monitor the situation and sees no prerequisites for price spikes.

On March 25, it was reported that the Ministry of Finance is studying the expansion of the range of wholesale fuel prices, which preserves the right of oil companies to receive damping payments. It was clarified that regulators are discussing the possibility of allowing oil companies to deviate from the indicative price by 15% and 25% for gasoline and diesel fuel, respectively. This will help to reduce the risks of producers from seasonal fluctuations in demand.
