HC Avangard has signed a contract with two-time Stanley Cup winner Voynov
Omsk Hockey Club (HC) Avangard has signed a one-year contract with two-time Stanley Cup champion defender Vyacheslav Voynov, Olympic champion and two-time Stanley Cup winner. This was announced on June 25 by the club's press service.

Voynov won the Stanley Cup as a member of the Los Angeles team in 2012 and 2014. Also, playing for St. Petersburg HC SKA, he won the Gagarin Cup in 2017. As a member of the Russian national team, the hockey player became the Olympic champion in 2018.
Last season, the hockey player played for HC Torpedo. Playing for the Nizhny Novgorod team, he played 53 matches, in which he scored 23 (7+16) points. It is specified that he will play in Avangard until number 26.
On April 27, the club extended the contract with head coach Guy Boucher and his assistant Dave Barr until the end of the 2026/27 season.
