An accident involving an ambulance occurred in the Lukhovitsy municipal district in the Moscow region. This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Moscow region on Tuesday, June 24.

The accident occurred on 11 km of the Beloomut–Lovtsy highway.

"According to preliminary information, the female driver, born in 1981, driving a Lada car, entered the oncoming traffic lane, where she collided with an ambulance crew car without passengers, which overturned on impact. As a result of the accident, the driver of the car was taken to a medical facility with injuries," the Moscow City News agency quoted the message.

Employees of the State traffic Inspectorate establish all the circumstances of the incident.

On June 24, State Duma deputies adopted in the final reading a bill proposing an increase in the maximum fine for a driver's refusal to stop at the request of a police officer.

Over the past day, 335 road accidents have occurred on Russian roads, in which 23 people were killed and 399 injured. Four of the dead were pedestrians, the remaining 19 were drivers and passengers of vehicles.
