The arrest of Kamaryan, accused of the murder of businessman, was extended until October 4.

Hayrik Yervandyan, accused of murdering businessman Hovhannes Kamaryan, has had his arrest extended. This was reported on June 24 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the Moscow City Court.

It is specified that the accused will be in custody until October 4.

The 62-year-old entrepreneur was shot dead on June 2, 2022, on Komsomolsky Prospekt in Moscow, when he was returning from a restaurant in the company of a 22-year-old female companion. The killer was waiting for the businessman in the courtyard. He shot Kamarian several times with a pistol with a silencer, took a picture of the body and fled.

The alleged killer was detained the next day, he turned out to be 24-year-old Yervandyan. He stated that the reason for the murder was a blood feud for his brother, but this version was not confirmed. Investigators have established that Kamaryan's death was a contract killing: the deceased was at odds with businessman Rafael Madoyan, who in turn was called an associate of the criminal boss Aslan Usoyan (Deda Hassan).
