"Researchers have just confirmed what is by far the largest data breach in history: an almost incredible 16 billion login credentials have been exposed," the publication said.
As specified by "Gazeta.Ru", the merged archive consists of account data from online services Apple, Google, Facebook (owned by Meta, whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation), Telegram messenger, VPN services and government platforms.
Earlier in the day, Ashot Oganesyan, founder of the DLBI darknet leak intelligence and monitoring service, told Izvestia that hackers are massively switching from vulnerability detection to password selection during attacks.
