AvtoVAZ will start monitoring the quality of cars together with Roskachestvo
AvtoVAZ and Rockachestvo have signed a strategic cooperation agreement at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). The document is aimed at developing the domestic automotive industry and improving product quality standards, the press service of AvtoVAZ reported on June 19.
It is stated that the agreement provides for cooperation between AvtoVAZ and Roskachestvo in improving the quality and safety of Russian cars, promoting domestic automotive technologies on domestic and international markets, as well as increasing brand awareness in Russia and abroad.
In the coming years, the partners plan to launch projects to increase the competitiveness of Russian cars on the global market, conduct large-scale marketing research, educate consumers about the real level of product quality in the country, and so on.
Maxim Sokolov, the head of the Tolyatti automobile company, also noted that both organizations will work to increase Russians' confidence in domestic cars. Maxim Protasov, head of Roskachestvo, pointed out that the agreement is aimed at creating a comprehensive assessment system that "combines the best international practices with unique Russian developments," and such a symbiosis "will bring the domestic automotive industry to a qualitatively new level."
On the eve of AvtoVAZ at the SPIEF presented the first crossover of its own design, it was named Lada Azimut. The start of serial production of Lada Azimut is scheduled for 2026.
