Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva on Monday, June 16, failed to pass the first round of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) tournament in Berlin, losing to Polish tennis player Magdalena Freh with a score of 6:2, 5:7, 0:6.

The meeting lasted 2 hours and 11 minutes. Despite a confident start, Andreeva won back from 1-4 in the second set, but failed to hold the end and lost the last two games, Sport-Express reported.

During the match, the Russian made eight double faults, made one ace and made five of 15 break points. Freh has one ace, three double faults and seven break points out of 19.

In the second round, the Polish athlete will play with the winner of the meeting between American Amanda Anisimova and Canadian Bianca Andreescu.

On June 11, Russian athlete Ekaterina Alexandrova defeated compatriot Anna Blinkova in the second round match of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) tournament in the Netherlands. Alexandrova is 30 years old, she is the 19th racket of the world. The athlete has won five titles under the auspices of the organization.
