Polygamist Sukhov denied his daughter's words about harassment

Ivan Sukhov, a polygamist and father of 14 children, denied the harassment claims of his 19-year-old daughter in an interview with Izvestia on June 11.

According to him, journalists are manipulating his daughter "for the sake of HYPE" and want to cash in on this topic. He clarified that this is especially true for talk shows that are trying to gather even more information about him, as well as come up with additional information themselves. He expressed regret that his daughter was being used.

At the same time, Sukhov stressed that he had not committed any criminal acts against his daughter.

"Now any child, it turns out, can accuse you like that, and you can be shut down, and that's it. No evidence is needed," he said.

The girl accused her father of harassment on a talk show. According to her, at the age of 14, her mother sent her to be raised by Sukhov, who subsequently repeatedly committed intimate acts against her. Sukhov is currently being investigated.

On December 18 last year, Sukhov spoke about the inspection of his family after a high-profile interview and requests from the public to conduct it. In his opinion, someone is "promoting" him. The next day, the man shared that there was a good atmosphere in his family. Sukhov suggested that the close attention to his family is due to "raging feminism."
