One person was killed and three injured in an accident in the Yaroslavl region.

As a result of an accident on 231 km of the federal highway (FAD) M8 "Kholmogory" in the Gavrilov-Yamsky district of the Yaroslavl region, one person was killed and three others were injured. This was announced on June 10 by the press service of the State Traffic Inspectorate for the region.

"According to preliminary information, the male driver, born in 1968, while driving a Jaecoo car, lost control, drove into a ditch, followed by a rollover," the department said.

It is specified that as a result of the accident, a passenger born in 1971 died on the spot. The driver himself, along with two other people born in 1976 and 2002, were taken to a medical facility with injuries.

"Traffic police officers and an investigative team are working at the scene of the accident, and all the circumstances of the incident are being clarified," the publication says.

Earlier that day, a passenger car caught fire after an accident involving a truck on the Kurgan–Tyumen highway. The driver died at the scene. His passenger was pulled out of the burning car, and the victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
