The media has calculated the number of Abrams tanks remaining in the Ukrainian Armed Forces

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost 27 Abrams battle tanks out of the 31 they received from the United States. This was reported on June 9 by Military Watch Magazine (MWM).

"It is estimated that the Ukrainian army lost 87% of its M1A1 Abrams main battle tanks, with 27 of the 31 vehicles supplied by the United States at the end of 2023," the material says.

The magazine emphasized that by the end of August 2024, Ukrainian militants had lost 20 of their 31 tanks. In addition, the publication noted that retreating militants often abandon many Abrams tanks in good condition.

On June 5, Russian military personnel removed damaged AFU equipment from Sumy region, including two M1 Abrams tanks. It was noted that the military first scouted the area to ensure security. After that, the soldiers transported the equipment using a special tracked tractor.
