The State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill on the quality rating of driving schools

On June 10, at the plenary session, the State Duma adopted in the first reading a government bill on assessing the quality of driving schools. The document is published in the database of the lower house of Parliament.

Amendments are being made to the law "On Road Safety". According to the document, the Ministry of Internal Affairs will develop a "list of indicators, criteria and frequency of performance assessment" for driving schools.

The data is planned to be posted on a special resource, which will be regularly updated and will be publicly available. Russians will be able to learn more about driving schools and leave feedback on their training.

At the end of February, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin explained that the rating would take into account the results of students' exams, as well as the emergency situations in which they found themselves.

Earlier that day, it was reported that the government commission on road Safety recommended that the Prosecutor General's Office, the Interior Ministry and Rosobrnadzor check all Russian driving schools and develop proposals to strengthen quality control over their work.
