Russians' incomes from entrepreneurial activities have grown at a record pace

Russians earned 1.6 trillion rubles from entrepreneurial activity in the first quarter of 2025. This is a 21.9% increase compared to the same period last year. This was confirmed on June 10 by a study by the Higher School of Economics (HSE), which was reviewed by Izvestia.

In 2024, the income of Russian entrepreneurs amounted to 1.4 trillion rubles, in 2023 - 1.3 trillion. The current figure is a record for two years, according to HSE analysts.

In total, the incomes of Russians for the first quarter of 2025 increased to 27 trillion rubles (against 22.9 trillion for the same period in 2024), the study says. Most of the population spent money on buying goods (15.7 trillion rubles).

On June 3, Maria Bagreeva, Deputy Mayor of Moscow and head of the Department of Economic Policy and Development of the city, announced that the number of professional income tax payers in the capital exceeded 2 million people. According to her, this is more than 15% of the total number of self-employed registered in the Russian Federation.
