A large fire on the roof of an inactive industrial enterprise has been extinguished in Melitopol. This was announced on June 8 by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Zaporozhye region.

"Employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations eliminated a fire at an inactive industrial enterprise in Melitopol. The roof, with an area of 1 thousand square meters, was on fire," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.

It is noted that fire crews worked at a higher rank, preventing the spread of fire to residential buildings. 41 rescuers and 13 pieces of equipment took part in the elimination of the fire. The cause of the emergency is being established.
