The cargo ship Meshka, en route to the port of Vysotsk in the Leningrad Region under the Panamanian flag, broke ground on June 8. The relevant information follows from the data of the vessel tracking service VesselFinder.

According to the service, the ship is currently moored in Sweden. It is noted that 24 people and about 938 thousand liters of oil were on board the bulk carrier.

Earlier, on May 31, the SVT TV channel reported that the bulk carrier Meshka had run aground off the coast of Sweden. It is specified that the incident occurred after the ship received a warning about the wrong course. The crew promised to change direction, but for unknown reasons continued to move.
