President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, by refusing to accept the bodies of the militants of the Ukrainian army, showed that he no longer intends to reckon with US President Donald Trump. This was announced on June 7 by ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Oleg Tsarev in an interview with RT.

He clarified that there are three reasons for the Kiev regime's refusal to take the bodies of the dead. The first is the unwillingness of the authorities to pay families $2.2 billion in compensation, the second is the media effect, and the third is the refusal of the American leader to put pressure on Kiev.

"Today's demarche may be a sign that Zelensky is withdrawing from the negotiations, because, on the one hand, he believes that Trump has weakened and can be ignored," the former MP said.

According to him, the American leader now needs to decide what to do with the president of Ukraine. Tsarev clarified that Trump may impose sanctions against his entourage or admit that he is unable to resolve the Ukrainian conflict.

Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky said on the same day that the Ukrainian side had unexpectedly postponed indefinitely the reception of the bodies of dead soldiers and the exchange of prisoners of war. He also called on Ukraine to comply with the agreed schedule and fulfill all the agreements that were reached at the second round of negotiations in Istanbul.

Russian Deputy Defense Minister Colonel-General Alexander Fomin said that Russia had sent Ukraine a proposal in advance to transfer the bodies of the dead soldiers and was ready to begin implementing the agreements this week.
