- Ryabkov reminded the West of the Russian Federation's right to choose targets when testing missile systems
Western countries should remember that Russia will determine targets for further testing of its latest missile systems based on threats to national security. This was announced on June 7 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.
Commenting on the new statements by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz about the lifting of range restrictions on the supply of weapons to Kiev, the diplomat noted that the West is well aware of the principled position of the Russian Federation on allowing the use of long-range systems for strikes deep into Russian territory.
"We have repeatedly stressed that the use of such weapons is impossible without the direct participation of military specialists from the countries producing these systems," TASS quoted Ryabkov as saying.
The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained that it implies, in particular, the receipt of satellite intelligence data, as well as the introduction of flight missions that can only be carried out by the Western military.
On May 26, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced that Britain, France, Germany and the United States had lifted range restrictions on weapons supplied to Ukraine. He noted that this decision is aimed at giving it the opportunity to attack targets in Russia.
The AgoraVox publication noted on June 6 that the supply of German Taurus long-range missiles to Ukraine could create conditions for the outbreak of a new world war and directly involve Germany in military operations against Russia. And Moscow will have every reason to retaliate, the media said.
