Russia may ban cars without a "rescue card"
In Russia, they may ban access to the operation of cars without a "rescue card". This was stated by Anton Dorotyuk, a representative of the Department of Educational, Scientific and Technical Activities of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, as part of the strategic session on the development and safety of electric transport in Moscow, the Izvestia correspondent reports.
"We intend to discuss with the Ministry of Industry and Trade the possibility of restrictions on the issuance of OTTS for vehicles if they do not have rescue cards," Dorotyuk said.
He noted that the "Rescue Map" allows rescuers at the scene of an accident or other car accident to understand where to cut the body of a car to evacuate victims, what type of engine it has, where the battery on an electric car or hybrid is located, and provides them with other necessary information.
GOST concerning the "Rescue Card" entered into force in February 2023, but not all automakers provided relevant information, the participants of the round table noted.
On the eve of the Deputy head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Vasily Shpak said that the production of anti-lock (ABS) and anti-skid (ESP) systems for cars in Samara at the site of FSUE NAMI is planned to be launched by the end of 2025.
