The Russian Armed Forces removed two damaged M1 Abrams tanks from Sumy region.
Russian military personnel have removed damaged equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) from Sumy region, including two M1 Abrams tanks. This was announced on June 5 by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The fighters of the North group of forces on the border of the Sumy region were able to evacuate the destroyed equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in two stages. First, the military personnel scouted the area to ensure safety from the effects of drones and explosive objects. After that, the soldiers transported the equipment using a special tracked tractor.
In addition to the M1 Abrams, two International MaxxPro armored personnel carriers, a Stryker armored combat vehicle, and a Challenger repair and evacuation vehicle were taken out.
On May 22, Russian military personnel demonstrated captured weapons taken from the border areas of the Kursk region. A command and staff vehicle based on an American-made M577 armored personnel carrier was placed at the disposal of the fighters.
