Serbia is interested in cooperation with Russia on digitalization issues. Boris Bratina, head of the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications of the country, told Izvestia about this on June 3 on the sidelines of the Digital Industry of Industrial Russia (CIPR) forum in Nizhny Novgorod.

"I see that all plans [for digitalization in the Russian Federation] are underway until 2030. And I see that digitalization will be very developed in Russia. We, Serbia, are interested in cooperation with Russia. Of course, both we and you will have a good outcome from this," he noted.

According to the head of the department, digitalization projects in Russia are being implemented very quickly.

In addition, Bratina stressed that since last year Serbia has earned $4 billion only on services related to information and communication technologies (ICT), and this year it is planned to receive another 20% more.

On May 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with Serbian leader Alexander Vucic, emphasized Serbia's independent and sovereign course in international affairs. According to the head of state, Russia remains the guarantor of Serbia's security, providing about 85% of the country's total energy needs.
