- The State Duma appreciated the words of the German politician about the expulsion of diplomats
German politicians make various statements that are not helpful. Alexey Chepa, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, said this in an interview with Izvestia on June 3.
Earlier, the Handelsblatt newspaper reported that Roderich Kiesewetter, a member of the German parliament from the ruling Christian Democratic Union (CDU), called for the expulsion of more Russian diplomats from Germany amid an alleged increase in cyber attacks from Moscow. He also pointed out the need to close the Russian House in Berlin.
"There are various political figures, there are those who shout loudly, realizing that there will be no benefit, no result. And these are the people who support the war party," Chepa said.
At the same time, he ruled out severing diplomatic relations between Moscow and Berlin.
"I'm sure it won't come to that," the MP said.
Back on April 16, British analyst Alexander Mercuris stated that the new German government, led by German Chancellor and CDU leader Friedrich Merz, would not last long because of his wrongly chosen policy.
