The Russia-Turkey business dialogue will be held at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in 2025. The initiative to organize this event belongs to the Association of Russian and Turkish Entrepreneurs (RTIB), which actively contribute to the development of business cooperation and the strengthening of economic ties between the two countries.

Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the SPIEF Organizing Committee, noted: "Russia and Turkey have been developing large-scale economic cooperation for many years. The business dialogue at SPIEF will be an important step towards expanding partnership in key sectors from industry to tourism. For business representatives from both countries, this is an opportunity to establish direct contacts, share experiences and jointly seek new growth directions."

According to the Turkish side, by the end of 2024, Russia and Turkey maintained a steady volume of bilateral trade — $52.6 billion. At the same time, Russian exports totaled $44 billion, while imports from Turkey totaled $8.6 billion. Both sides are aiming to achieve the ambitious goal of increasing trade turnover to $100 billion. The deepening of economic cooperation is complemented by active work through business, industry associations and interdepartmental consultations.

The business dialogue from the Turkish side will be organized by the Association of Russian and Turkish Entrepreneurs (RTIB). Today, it consists of about 100 companies operating in the Russian market. The total investments of the association's members in the Russian economy exceed $12 billion. These include projects in construction, food production, automotive, banking and other sectors.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Russia Tanju Bilgic noted: "The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is a unique platform for the development of our economic cooperation. Holding a special session at the SPIEF will further stimulate cooperation between business communities and will be an important step towards achieving the common goal of increasing mutual trade to $100 billion. The Turkish business is steadily operating in the Russian market and is interested in expanding its capabilities."

The business dialogue will be a logical continuation of the successful SPIEF field sessions that have recently been held in Turkey. The events contribute not only to the strengthening of business relations, but also to the development of sustainable partnerships, creating additional prospects for economic growth and mutual prosperity.

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will be held from June 18 to 21.
