Under the salary system, wages do not decrease due to a reduction in the number of working days per month. On June 2, on the eve of the three-day working week from June 10 to 12, Yulia Kuvyrtalova, manager of the CHINT HR department in Russia, told Izvestia how salaries are calculated during the holiday period.

"With a fixed salary, an employee's salary does not decrease if the employee has worked all the working days of the month. According to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, even if there are fewer working days due to holidays, the salary is paid in full," Kuvyrtalova clarified.

For employees with hourly or piecework pay, different rules apply — payment is calculated only for the time actually worked. June 11, as a pre-holiday, will be shortened by one hour while maintaining full payment.

The expert paid special attention to work on the official holiday of June 12. She stressed that such work is paid at least twice as much. However, you can take time off instead of double payment.

However, Kuvyrtalova recalled that if the payday falls on June 12 or 13, the employer can pay the funds ahead of schedule — on the 11th.

Earlier, on June 2, Ekaterina Kosareva, managing partner of the analytical agency VMT Consult, told Izvestia during which periods it is unprofitable to take a vacation. So, if you plan a holiday for a holiday week, the employer is obliged to extend it by the number of official holidays, but this option turns out to be the least profitable from a financial point of view.
