- Rosobrnadzor explained the actions of teachers when the metal detector is triggered on the Unified State Exam
During the main and unified state exams (OGE and USE), inspection and search of exam participants are not allowed, Rosobrnadzor reminded Izvestia on May 29 in response to a request.
If a metal detector goes off when a student passes to the exam site (PPE) before the OGE or USE, it is necessary to announce the trigger zone to the exam participant and guide the exam participant away from the general flow of students entering the PPE in order to avoid delaying the passage of other students.
Next, it is necessary to explain to the exam participant that they are prohibited from carrying communication equipment, photo, audio and video equipment, electronic computing equipment, reference materials, written notes and other means of storing and transmitting information.
"If you find these prohibited items after entering the PPE, as well as during the exam, you will be removed from the exam without the right to retake the exam in reserve time," the department warned.
If a student has a prohibited item, the exam organizers should ask him to go to the storage room for personal belongings and leave it there. In addition, you can transfer the item to the maintainer.
"The Rosobrnadzor hotline and feedback platform are working, which are designed to fix problematic situations and take rapid response measures," the service said.
They added that following the results of the Unified State Exam in 2024, it was decided to involve representatives of the parent community in monitoring the organization of the entrance to the PPE in 2025. For example, at the first exam, held on May 23, 2025, 4,164 parents were present at the exam sites.
"Comfortable and friendly examination conditions should be created at the examination sites," Rosobrnadzor notes.
But if the stress that arose, for example, during the exam caused an unsatisfactory result, there is an opportunity to retake it by filing an appeal.
"You can retake the exam if it is not completed for objective reasons (including poor health) or if an appeal about a violation of the order is satisfied. An appeal for a violation of the order can be filed against any factors that, in the participant's opinion, could have an impact on the performance of the exam paper," Rosobrnadzor emphasized.
Earlier, on May 29, the media reported that in the Sverdlovsk region, two ninth-grade graduates who came to take the main state exam were forced to strip down to their underwear and prove that they had no prohibited items. The administration of the school where the incident occurred stated that no one forced the students to undress — the student was only offered to go to a separate room and confirm the absence of a phone.
