Russian gunners destroyed a camouflaged mortar crew and a temporary deployment point The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Zaporozhye area of the special operation zone. This was announced on May 27 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"As a result of the accurate work of the calculations of 122-millimeter D-30 howitzers, the enemy's camouflaged mortar crew was destroyed. A temporary deployment point located in a wooded area, where the enemy secretly deployed personnel and materiel, was also hit," the ministry said.

It is specified that the fire damage was inflicted by military personnel of the artillery units of the 35th combined arms army of the Vostok group of forces.

The vehicle was discovered by the military intelligence unit of the group using drones during an air patrol. It is specified that the equipment transported the property of the assault group of the Ukrainian army.
