Kallas called on Western countries to increase pressure on Russia

On May 25, the head of the European Union (EU) diplomacy, Kaya Kallas, called on Western countries to exert "the strongest pressure" on Russia to allegedly end the conflict in Ukraine.

"We need to exert the strongest international pressure on Russia," she wrote on her page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

According to Kallas, such measures should be introduced so that "the Russian Federation does not destroy Ukraine."

Experts assessed the likelihood of a radical scenario with the severance of trade ties.

Earlier in the day, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kastutis Budris said it was necessary to isolate Russia and tighten sanctions against it. According to him, compliance is not the way to peace, but only to allow the continuation of "aggression."
