Ticket sales for long-distance trains have been simplified for the disabled
Tickets for specialized seats on long-distance trains have been simplified for the disabled. This was announced on May 25 by the press service of the Government of the Russian Federation in its Telegram channel.
"We are talking about buying tickets in compartments equipped taking into account the special needs and limited capabilities of passengers," the ministry wrote on the channel.
It is specified that now disabled people do not need to present a certificate or medical certificates confirming the right to benefits when buying a ticket. It will be enough to show an identification document, and then provide the SNILS number.
The necessary information will be checked automatically through the state information system "Unified Centralized digital Platform in the social sphere".
In December last year, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that airlines should stop the practice of underestimating the benefits of air tickets.
