Belousov got acquainted with modern samples of prefabricated barracks
During his trip to the troops of the Moscow Military District, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov got acquainted with modern samples of prefabricated modular structures. This was announced on May 24 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
"The main quality criterion will, of course, be the assessment of the military personnel themselves in terms of their conditions for official activity, for combat work," he said.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Colonel General Andrei Bulyga, reported to Belousov that the operation of prefabricated modular buildings as headquarters, medical centers, canteens, barracks and warehouses would significantly increase the mobility of Russian military units and create comfortable living conditions for them.
Representatives of industrial enterprises told the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation about the technologies used in the construction of block-modular structures. They make it possible to build facilities on difficult terrain, in remote areas, and help reduce energy consumption and infrastructure costs.
Among the presented facilities that can be built quickly, the minimum period of operation of a barracks for accommodation is 25 years or more. If the building is built using composite materials, then it can be used for over 50 years.
At the end of the meeting, Belousov held a working meeting with the heads of industrial enterprises. He noted that it is necessary to build such facilities efficiently.
Earlier, on May 20, Belousov listened to reports from officers on the current situation at the command post of the Center group of forces. He was informed about the specifics of the operation of modern drones for various purposes, which were developed taking into account the experience of a special military operation (SVO), and the proposals of the headquarters.
