- The list of victims of an accident with a minibus on the highway in the Moscow region has been published
A list of victims of a three-car accident on the M-12 highway in Noginsk near Moscow has appeared. The corresponding list is published by Izvestia.
Nine people were injured in the accident. Five of them were in the minibus: Andrey Sh., born in 1977; Ivan P., born in 1985; Alexey B., born in 1968; Abil A., born in 1977; and Boris Z., born in 1980. Four more victims, including two children who were in other cars, were Mikhail L., born in 2012; Alevtina L., born in 2019; Pavel L., born in 1989; and Olga L., born in 1988.
As a result of the incident, two people died — a boy born in 2015 and a woman born in 1967.
"Operational services have left for the accident site, including a medical helicopter, which will transport the injured for medical assistance. A multi-kilometer traffic jam has now formed on the highway itself. People get out of their cars and wait for traffic to be restored," said Alexander Orlov, a correspondent for Izvestia.
According to him, the collision occurred due to the fact that the minibus driver was distracted and crashed into a stopped car with a flat tire, the driver of which had recently got out of the car to install an emergency sign.
"Cars are starting to leave the blocked M-12 highway now. The thing is that they were allowed to return to Moscow via Electric Coal. The road is officially closed," said Kristina Morozova, a correspondent for Izvestia.
The accident on the 68th km of the federal highway M-12 in the Moscow region became known on the evening of May 23. A criminal case was opened into the incident under Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for the provision of services that did not meet safety requirements and resulted in injury to passengers, as well as the death of a woman and a child.
