Oleg Gladkovsky, former First Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC), was detained in Spain. This was announced on May 14 by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).

"On May 14, 2025, the former first deputy secretary of the National Security and Defense Council was detained by law enforcement agencies in Spain," the organization's Telegram channel says.

It is specified that he has been wanted since June 2024. Gladkovsky was accused of organizing the purchase of trucks under the state defense order at illegally increased prices, which led to over 17 million hryvnia (almost 33 million rubles) losses for the country.

At the moment, the issue of his extradition to Ukraine is being resolved.

On April 16, 2024, it was reported that Gladkovsky was wanted.

In mid-March 2024, the NABU announced the detention of three suspects in laundering 5.7 million euros in public procurement for the Ukrainian military. It was planned to purchase 5,000 bulletproof vests for this amount, but instead the attackers purchased luxury cars and real estate. One of them is a representative of a private company that did not provide the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense with half of the fully paid body armor.
