Russian Investigative Committee (IC) officers continue their investigation in the village of Russkoye Porechnoye in the Kursk region, where mass killings of civilians by Ukrainian nationalists were recorded. This was announced on May 14 by the official representative of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Svetlana Petrenko.
"During an inspection of the residential sector of the Russian Porechnoye village and the Mirny settlement of the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region, body parts of two civilians with signs of violent death were found," she said.
The representative of the Investigative Committee added that investigators are also working in nearby settlements. According to her, no later than January 2025, militants of the armed formations of Ukraine (VFU) tortured residents of Russian Porechnoye and Mirny, and then committed their murder, gunshot wounds were found on the bodies of the victims.
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has opened a criminal case under paragraph "b" of Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act"). It is specified that the militants of the Kiev regime killed 24 civilians in Russian Porechnoye. Those involved in the commission of the crime are being identified.
On March 3, Russian soldiers, having examined the outskirts of the village of Russkoye Porechnoye in the border area of the Kursk region, again found the bodies of civilians killed by the militants of the VFU. It was reported that the militants killed elderly civilians.
