The State Duma proposed to introduce quotas for jobs for combat veterans
The head of the Fair Russia — For Truth faction, Sergei Mironov, will submit a bill to the State Duma on Wednesday, May 14, in which he will propose introducing quotas for jobs for combat veterans. The document is at the disposal of Izvestia.
The explanatory note to the draft states that it is aimed at creating employment guarantees for citizens with the status of combat veterans, as well as supporting employers who will responsibly approach the implementation of this innovation.
"Making such a decision will be evidence of the recognition of veterans' services to society and will contribute to their integration into civilian life. At the same time, we propose to establish tax incentives for employers — to reduce insurance premium rates for military veterans by up to 15%," Mironov explained.
According to him, the authorities of some regions have already taken a similar path. Recently, the law on job quotas for combat veterans was adopted in the Moscow region. It obliges enterprises with more than 100 employees to allocate 1% of jobs for the employment of veterans. According to the results of the first quarter of last year, more than 7.6 thousand quotas were allocated, which made it possible to employ at least 1.8 thousand people.
"The experience of the Moscow region testifies to the real support of the defenders of the Motherland. Similar initiatives have been taken in the Leningrad Region, but we suggest moving forward. The bill states that for enterprises with more than 35 employees, the quota should be 2-4%," the parliamentarian noted.
On March 27, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin named taking care of the participants of the SVR one of the government's priorities. Speaking at a cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister also drew attention to the results of the annual report to the State Duma on March 26.
