Nicaragua expects to launch direct flights from Russia in the coming years

Nicaragua is discussing with Russian air carriers the possibility of launching direct flights to the Russian Federation. This was stated to Izvestia by Laureano Ortega, special representative of the President of Nicaragua for the development of relations with the Russian Federation.

The Cuban president announced the possibility of opening direct flights to St. Petersburg.

"In order to increase the tourist flow, we hope to simplify flights in the coming years. It is possible to arrange flights from Moscow with a transfer in Cuba or establish direct flights to Managua. We have discussed this possibility with Russian airlines, in particular with Aeroflot, Rossiya, and Nordwind," Laureano Ortega said.

Currently, most flights to Nicaragua from Russia are operated with connections in the European Union or the United States.
