The Ministry of Defense told about the exploits of the Russian Armed Forces soldiers in the special operation zone

On May 12, the Ministry of Defense reported on the exploits of Russian military personnel in the area of a special military operation.

The ministry noted the actions of Corporal Anatoly Svetlichny, who carried out combat missions to organize uninterrupted communications in the interests of the Russian motorized rifle unit. His column was subjected to a massive attack by militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) when it was marching to a given area.

As a result of an artillery shell explosion, the communications station was damaged, and Svetlichny received a shrapnel wound. Having provided himself with the necessary medical care, he was able to restore the station's operability and provide the command of the unit with communications.

Thus, thanks to Svetlichny's courage and dedication, the coordinates of the location of the Ukrainian militant forces were promptly transmitted through organized communication channels, on the basis of which they were hit by a retaliatory artillery salvo. The actions of the corporal made it possible to repel the enemy's attack and ensure the timely advance of Russian troops to the designated lines.

In addition, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation pointed to the merits of the paramedic of the guard company, junior Sergeant Alexei Chirkov, who, in the immediate vicinity of the line of combat contact, provided first aid to wounded servicemen and evacuated them to medical institutions.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces militants attacked the unit in which Chirkov was located. Noticing that one of the soldiers had received a shrapnel wound, Chirkov, despite the massive artillery fire, moved forward to help the wounded man.

He reached the wounded soldier as soon as possible and provided him with first aid. Then, shouldering him, he carried him out of the firing zone and organized an evacuation to the medical unit. Thanks to his decisive and competent actions, the soldier's life was saved.
