Unknown persons desecrated a monument to a Bronze soldier in a military cemetery in Tallinn. This was reported by Postimees on May 11.

"According to the information available at the moment, there were two vandals, their identities have not yet been established. The patrol combed the neighborhood last night, but it was not possible to find the violators," a police spokesman said in a statement.

It is specified that the monument was painted with white paint. After that, a criminal case was opened.

According to the newspaper, this is not the first time that a monument dedicated to the soldiers of the Red Army has been vandalized.

On April 2, the Russian Embassy in Estonia announced that employees of the Estonian Military Museum had destroyed monuments in honor of Soviet sailors, soldiers and officers who liberated the republic from Nazi invaders at the Tallinn Military Cemetery. The Russian Embassy also drew attention to the fact that Estonia continues to honor the legionnaires of the 20th Waffen-SS Division, to whom monuments are being erected.
