Russia and Vietnam have agreed to cooperate in the maritime sphere
Nikolai Patrushev, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Russian Maritime Board, held talks with Toh Lam, Secretary General of the Communist Party of Vietnam, regarding the countries' partnership relations in the field of maritime activities. This was reported on May 11 in the press service of the Maritime Collegium.
"Attention has been paid to deepening bilateral cooperation in the field of shipbuilding, the functioning of port infrastructure, building new transport and logistics chains, and training Vietnamese shipbuilders in Russian educational institutions," the statement said.
It is noted that Patrushev and To Lam also discussed issues of scientific and technological cooperation between Russia and Vietnam during the meeting.
