Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov fulfilled the wish of the girl Victoria Strolkina and her brother Egor from the Rostov region, who dreamed of attending the Victory Day Parade on Red Square. This was announced on May 11 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The children's letter with the corresponding wish was placed in a balloon, which the head of the Ministry of Defense removed as part of the All-Russian action "Wish Tree". On December 30, the Russian Defense Minister called the Strolkin family and invited them to Moscow for the festivities.

The department has planned a rich program for the guests, the most significant event of which was the parade on Red Square, which the Strolkin family watched for the first time from the rostrum together with veterans of the Great Patriotic War, participants in the special military operation (SVO) and foreign guests of the event.

"It's great to see it with your own eyes. I wish everyone to be in the stands, just like us, to see it firsthand, rather than on TV," Anastasia Strolkina, the children's mother, shared her impressions.

She also congratulated all Russians on the 80th anniversary of the Victory and separately thanked the veterans for their feat, which gave a peaceful future to future generations.

During their three-day stay in the capital, the guests visited the Central Museum of the Armed Forces of Russia and the Studio of Military Artists named after M.B. Grekov. In addition, the children got acquainted with interactive museum sites, armored vehicles, and aviation presented in Patriot Park, and also tasted field cuisine. The guests visited the museum complex "Memory Road.1418 steps to Victory" and appreciated the decoration of the Main Church of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

The All-Russian Christmas Tree of Wishes campaign has been held since 2018 and continues to unite thousands of people who are ready to do good deeds. Participation in the "Wishing Tree" is an opportunity to perform a miracle for children aged 3 to 17 years. In seven years, more than 320,000 New Year's wishes of children from 89 regions of the country have been fulfilled.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced on January 7 that Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin fulfilled the dreams of 17-year-old Mikhail Losyanov from Volgograd and 11-year-old Nikita from Moscow as part of the "Wish Tree".
