Armenia is not going to establish contacts with the West, while aggravating relations with Russia. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this on May 7.

According to him, Armenia is guided by a balanced foreign policy, which does not envisage building ties with some states at the expense of deteriorating relations with others.

"Moreover, it does not provide for a refusal to visit Russia or a refusal to develop and deepen relations with the Russian Federation," Pashinyan said, broadcasting his speech available on the parliament's YouTube channel.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on March 21 that Russia is ready to develop relations with Armenia in every possible way. According to the Russian President's press secretary, Armenia is a friendly and sovereign state with which Russia has many things in common.
