Russians named the best war films "And the dawns here are quiet," "Only old men Go into battle," and "17 Moments of Spring." This is stated in the results of a survey conducted by MTS Media holding, which was reviewed by Izvestia on May 7.

Experts have found that 86% of respondents consider Victory Day to be the most important holiday in the country. At the same time, 85% of respondents have a general idea of the history of the war and want to learn more, while 74% prefer to learn about the war from Soviet film classics.

"72% of respondents noted that over the past year they had watched films about the Great Patriotic War, 24% had read books about it, 57% had listened to wartime songs, 23% had attended thematic exhibitions, 11% had attended concerts, and 7% had seen theatrical performances on the theme of war," the survey results say..

Russians named "And the dawns here are Quiet" (76%), "Only old Men go into battle" (74%), "17 Moments of Spring" (71%), "They Fought for Their Homeland" (64%) and "Officers" (62%) among the five most favorite films. At the same time, 40% of respondents noted the lack of modern adaptations of real events, 39% are interested in films about the lives of ordinary people in the rear, and 31% want to learn more about the biographies of war heroes.

Earlier, on May 6, it was reported that the war drama about the children's concentration camp "Blood Group" will be released on May 8. The creators tried to convey all the horrors faced by the prisoners of the so-called orphanage in Nazi official documents, located in the Leningrad region during the Great Patriotic War.
