Yaroslav Yakovlev was appointed head of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (GSU IC) in the Moscow region. This was reported on the agency's website on May 5.

"The head of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Moscow Region is Colonel of Justice Yaroslav Alexandrovich Yakovlev," the publication says.

Previously, Yakovlev served as deputy head of the GSU of the Investigative Committee for the region.

In January, Russian President Vladimir Putin reassigned Igor Krasnov to the post of Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation for five years. The document entered into force in the same month.
