At the same time, he noted that the Ukrainian side is talking about preconditions for a settlement, which contradicts the position of the Russian leader.

The press secretary of the Russian president stressed that Moscow confirms its readiness for direct negotiations, but there is no response from Kiev yet. In addition, Peskov expressed gratitude to the United States for its efforts towards a peaceful settlement.
