The oldest witness of the Holocaust has died in Israel at the age of 110.
Nehama Grossman, the country's oldest Holocaust survivor, has died in Israel, the woman died at the age of 110, the Ynet portal reported on April 25.
According to her family members, Grossman, a longtime resident of the southern city of Arad, died peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones.
"Her death occurred on Holocaust Memorial Day in Israel. The funeral is scheduled at the Arad cemetery," the media writes.
Born in 1914, the woman lived in Israel all her life and had a large family. According to her son, Vladimir Shvets, Grossman suffered unimaginable sufferings in her lifetime, but overcame them with strength and perseverance.
"She suffered terribly during the war. They were fleeing from the Nazis, and lately she's even had dreams that the Nazis are strangling her. These memories have never left her. I hope she's at peace now. Until the very end, she was in her right mind and talked to us," said daughter Elena Shvets.
